Hollywood
Cemetery
Confederate War Dead Click image for larger view More than 18,000 Confederate enlisted men are buried at Hollywood Cemetery. For the most part, their names were lost along with their lives. Their final resting places are identified by numbers on small headstones. A 90-foot granite pyramid nearby stands in tribute to their sacrifices. |

Whatever
changes time has wrought, how wrong or rash their course may
seem,
Though adverse doctrines may be taught, the future surely will redeem The patriot's cause for liberty and keep their act from censure free, For 'Eternal right, tho' all else fail, can never be made wrong'. - inscribed on tomb of General George Pickett, C.S.A. |
